What is the difference between SIL and SDA in NDIS?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a program that assists you in living as independently as possible. If you have a disability and live alone or with a group of individuals in a shared home, SIL can help.

People who require specialized housing solutions due to significant support needs or severe functional disability can apply for Specialist Disability Accommodation (or SDA).

SDA and SIL will be supported separately in your NDIS plan if you require both specialist housing solutions and daily living support. You will have more options since you will be able to live in housing that is suited to your needs and will have access to the SIL supports of your choice.
